The Luxman PD284 is an direct-drive turntable fitted with static balance type straight tonearm. We have fully serviced the turntable and fitted a new Audio Technica VM95e cartridge. The Luxman can play 33.3 and 45rpm records and has a stop and lift function at the end of a record. The quality arm also has azumith adjusment if needed. The stop mechanism is photoelectric so at no time is there undue resistance on tonearm movement. These are awesome sounding turntables. The lid has yellowed with age.
